After School Activities:
We offer an extensive after school activities roster with age appropriate instruction in a wide variety of specialties. We are proud to partner with a number of local programs and educators who are experts in their fields. Some of our after school activities are seasonal and some run full year.
ALL PAYMENTS ARE BASED ON A SEASONAL TRIMESTER SYSTEM.
FULL YEAR ACTIVITIES WILL REQUIRE RE-ENROLLMENT AT THE END OF NOVEMBER.
Please note that NO child may stay after school until PAYMENT IN FULL has been received.
After School Kids' Club (Open to all Students)
Monday thru Thursday. 3:30-6pm

The KBA Kid’s Club is a late-stay care program which provides students with snack, homework assistance and supervised social/play time at Kellman Brown Academy.
- The KBA Kid’s Club staff will assume full responsibility for your child from the time he/she arrives at the program until dismissal time. Each child will be checked in upon arrival. Any child who has reported to Kids’ Club must be signed out by an authorized person by 6:00 pm SHARP. The fee for pick-up after 6:00 pm is $15.00 per quarter hour beginning at 6:01 pm. The school reserves the right to dismiss students from the Kids’ Club program who are picked up late or who do not follow after-school care procedures or rules.
If a child is absent from PM Kids’ club due to illness, vacation, or other circumstance, there will not be any refunds for those missed days. Please contact the front desk and also Kenny Einhorn by 1:00 pm for same day PM Emergency Add-On Service.
- Parent or guardian is responsible for fee. Payments are to be made upon receipt of each quarterly invoice. There is a $30 processing fee for returned checks. In the event that this occurs a second time, all future payments must be paid in cash or by money order. You may withdraw your student from the program at any time; however, you are still obligated to pay for the days for which you are registered through the end of the trimester.
Soccer Shots (Ages 2-5 & 6-9)

Kellman Brown is excited to announce the fall season of Soccer Shots. Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the soccer field through best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum. Our soccer classes are for young children aged 2.5 years old through 6 years old, and Premier class for kids in 1st Grade - 3rd Grade. We offer second sibling discount, and teacher discount. Mini Dance/Cheer (ages 3-5)
Thursdays: 3:30-4:15 MUST Commit for FULL year: 9/15/16-5/18/17
Cost for Mini: $429 will be divided into 3 payments of $143 + $20 recital fee in Spring
All students must bring ballet slippers and wear appropriate clothing
BALLET: Warm-up, basic barre work, ballet turns, jumps, improvisation and center floor. The class will emphasize dance vocabulary (French language), balancing and spotting techniques, poise and discipline. The warm-up will also include calisthenics, stretching and yoga.
JAZZ: Jazz Dance is a popular way for children to focus their energy into basic dance movement. Jazz Dance starts with stretching, basic floor work, putting steps to music and beginner combinations. The class will emphasize dance vocabulary, flexibility, creativity and coordination.
CHEERLEADING: This class includes warm-up, flexibility exercises, cheerleading jumps, turns, chants and cheers. The children will have fun learning various cheers and at the same time master the basics of cheerleading. Cheerleading is self expression done within a group. It includes basic dance movements done with excitement and enthusiasm. Pom-poms will be used in the children’s dance routines and will be provided in class.
Karen Arensberg was a member of the Ballet Des Jeunes for five years. Her dance studies included Ballet, Jazz and Spanish techniques. Her dance teachings include Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Yoga and Hip Hop. She taught dance for the Perkins Center for the Arts, Ballet Des Jeunes and the Department of Recreation, Marlton NJ. She is the director of dance, cheerleading and fitness programs for 25 schools for over 27
years. She has been a high school cheerleading judge for 2 years and has coached middle school basketball cheerleading.
Mini Sports (ages 3-6)
Mondays: 3:30-4:15 11 Sessions: 3/6-6/5 Cost: $125
All students must wear sneakers and comfortable clothing
Mini Sports: includes sports activities, fitness and games. Emphasis will be put on the fundamentals regarding each sport, safety, drills and skills. The class will develop strength, balance and coordination while building self-esteem and confidence. Children will be educated about the basic learning skills regarding each sport. Our goal is to establish which sport sparks an interest in your child prior to participating in youth recreational sports. Rewards will be given for sportsmanship and achievements. All sports can be done indoors or outdoors. The class also includes sports science.
The class includes: soccer, football drills, hockey, golf / tennis skills, tee ball, lacrosse, basketball, track and field, calisthenics and fitness. Fitness is done with a creative twist. Exercises and conditioning are done with balls, cones, stations, steps, jump ropes, gliders, hoops, ladders and much more. Activities and Games will include: Sleeping giant, Bounce to the bucket, ladder relays, scrimmages, partner games, world cup, sticky ball, crab drill, soccer bowling, glider hockey and many more.
Christopher Arensberg is a graduate of Rutgers University. His Junior and Mini Sports programs are currently in 20 schools. He has played competitive soccer, baseball and street hockey for 23 years. Chris was a camp counselor in Marlton for 5 years and was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. He was an assistant coach for a 5-6 year old Evesham Twp boy’s soccer team. He currently plays on an adult soccer and street hockey team. He was on a NJ State Championship baseball team and won MVP of the South Jersey Ralph Shaw High School baseball tournament in 2004. Chris also went to the Nationals for street hockey.

FIDE Master Dov Gorman, the highest-rated player in South New Jersey Chess Club, U.S. Chess League First Team All-Star, runner up for the US Chess League MVP, and a champion of two states, holds chess after school program for K-8th graders at Kellman Brown Academy.
This unique workshop is a Chess Fast Track program. The objective of the workshop is to improve chess skills and improve general thinking skills. The program re-introduces the rules of the games, the board and the pieces as well as basic decision-making skills such as strategy and tactics. The program focuses on understanding important chess patterns which are used as foundation for further progress.
After School Music Program (K-8th)
KBA is proud to offer one of the finest after school music programs in the area. Our children are given the opportunity to achieve excellence in music through their natural love of learning in a caring, nurturing environment. Playing music develops children’s mathematical skills and self-discipline. Our music program encourages exploration, creativity, and self-expression. Instruments: Piano, drums, violin, cello, flute, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, classical guitar, bass guitar, and voice.
Instrumental Lesson Format:
Private Lessons: Individual 30 minute lessons (45 minute lessons available for an additional charge).
Semi –Private Lessons: This is the MasterClass Method of Teaching. With this method, one student observes as another is taught and then they switch. As soon as students are able to, they begin playing duets and trios with their teacher.
Music Theory & Solfège: Music theory provides children with a firm foundation of music comprehension. During this weekly half-hour class, children learn to read and understand musical notation as well as, study music history and rhythm.
Rock Band: The rock band specializes in a different genre of music. The ensemble rehearses, ”jams” and performs a combination of pop, rock, and jazz pieces.
Supervised Time between Lessons: Your child will be supervised between lessons at no additional cost. The supervisor can assist them with homework, if necessary and will be with the students until 6:00 pm. Please pack your child a snack.

Discovery Kids Puterbugs (Ages 3-6)

Discovery Kids Puterbugs is the only interactive class experience available that teaches your child, in a fun and age-appropriate way, the full scope of technology skills in today's digital world. In a safe environment that promotes a healthy foundation and proper tech etiquette, the program helps your child master skills that range from basic file navigation, Internet, and keyboarding skills to an understanding of the latest technology, such as mobile apps and cloud computing! Each class features your child as the main character of an exciting learning adventure, guided by a trained and certified Local Provider. SPACE IS LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS. Scratch Jr. Coding by discovery KidS (ages 7-9)

Coding is the new literacy! With Scratch Jr, young children (ages 7-9) can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.

Financial Fun (3rd-8th)

Dov Gorman will guide our students through an online interactive program that teaches kids the ins and outs of the stock market, financial literacy, money management, and other essential skills for financial success.
