MONDAY 2/21/2012
Today we added the letter "Mem" to our yoga routine, and learned some new words that start with Mem.
Today we listened to the story "Sammy Spider first Purim" by listening we figured out what are the four "Mems"-Mitzvot of Purim
1.Mishloah manot-treats baskets
2.Megilah-listening to the Megilah reading
3.Mish'te/seooda-festiv feast
4.Matanot leev'yonim-Tzeddakah
We also learned a song about the 4 Mitzvot.
We painted leitzan/clown to decorate our window.

Wear Red on Thursday for Jump rope for heart
Today we listened to "the story of Queen Esther"/Jenny Koralek
We learned Purim songs and dances, finished up the megilah puppets and castle, and painted the backround for our Purim mobiles.

THURSDAY 2/16/12
Today I was very silly and didn't know how to put the pictures of the Megilah in the right order, so the children were great helpers and corrected my errors!
We finished the Megilah puppets project (with gan kachol), hope you will enjoy listening to your child telling the story of Purim.
Today we had a fun session in honor of Jump Rope for Heart with coach p.

This week aba Shabbat was Matthew and Ima Shabbat was Maya.
We recited the Kiddush, ate Challah, and a yummy snack for shabbat.
Today we listened to Miketz/Genesis-Torah portion
Joseph Interprets Pharoah's Dreams:
"Pharaoh's dream is only one dream about what God is going to do," explained Joseph. "God has announced to Pharaoh that the seven fat cows are seven good years and the seven fat wheat are seven good years. But the seven thin cows and the seven thin wheat predict there will be seven years of famine. God is telling you, Pharaoh, what God is about to do.
(Please be advised that our weekly torah story is not aligned with the scheduled weekly Torah portion)
After listening to the Parashah the yeladim drew a picture of King Pharaoh's dream.
