Susan J. Levine
President, Board of Trustees
Susan’s connection to Kellman Brown Academy began in 1993 when she and her husband, Howard, enrolled their daughter, Melissa, in first grade. Nearly twenty years later, it’s clear that the knowledge, Jewish values, critical thinking skills, and lifelong friendships that Melissa gained while at KBA have created a sound foundation for a wonderful, productive, responsible life.
Susan’s interest in KBA is both personal and professional. As Vice President of The Melior Group, a Philadelphia-based marketing research and consulting firm, much of her work focuses on strategic community assessment programs. These programs provide mission-focused organizations with a heightened understanding of specific community needs and goals, and a path on which to determine, and appropriately plan, future programming. Within this context, she often works with Jewish Day Schools, Jewish Federations, and various non-profit organizations including foundations, museums, and other cultural institutions.
Susan is also a recognized expert in the financial services industry, where she focuses on research for the institutional, wealth management, and insurance sectors. She is skilled in measuring and identifying the factors that drive client satisfaction, and is the author of more than a dozen articles that have appeared in leading trade and industry publications.
In addition to her involvement in KBA, Susan is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey, where she chairs the Special Needs Committee.
Susan holds an M.B.A. from Temple University. She is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Pennsylvania where she earned both M.Sc.Ed. and B.A. degrees, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
